What is Coronavirus?

The coronavirus, also called COVID-19, is part of the “big family” of coronaviruses. And these are pathogenic viruses that cause various illnesses in humans, from cold to  more severe pulmonary infections. For example, severe acute respiratory syndromes (SARS).

The term “corona” refers to crown shape (corona in Latin). Also, their other forms of coronaviruses discussed a few years ago, the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) in 2012.

There were several cases of pneumonia reported in China on 31 st December 2019, more specifically in Wuhan capital of Hubei province, which is in the center of the country. And very quickly, confirmed that it was a new coronavirus never diagnosed in humans. Besides We refer to this virus in two ways: coronavirus or COVID-19.

The reaction of the Chinese Authorities to Fight the Epidemic or Coronovirus

In this area, public transport stopped, the stations closed and residents were asked not to leave their homes. Several cases were then observed elsewhere on the planet, including Italy and France.

The situation in Canada and Quebec

Using March 9, 2020, 69 circumstances of COVID-19 definite in Canada by the National Microbiology Laboratory. Quebec has 4 cases of COVID-19. The province sent the suspected positive sample to the National Microbiology Laboratory for further testing. The epidemic affects all areas of the nation and confirmed cases reported in countries outside of China, also including Canada.

The confirmed cases of international travelers cruise ships resulted from the separation of passengers who board the boat.

For their part, the Chinese

authorities and the World Health Organization (WHO) have confirmed the spread from person to person.

“Available information indicates that older adults and people with weak immune systems or people with underlying medical conditions consider to be at higher risk for serious illness.

Travelers who fall ill while staying in China, How ever, they may have limited access to appropriate and timely health care. For these reasons, travelers advised avoiding non-essential travel to China. ”
